Project Analysis

Started as a research project of the Embedded System and Smart Sensors (ES3) group of the Information Engineering Department (DII) of the University of Brescia, the SAndroidE framework is now available to use, for free.

The project has been presented at 2016 SAS – IEEE Sensor Application Symposium in Catania, Italy receiving the best poster Award. [S. Rinaldi, A. Depari, A. Flammini and A. Goal of the project is to make easier Apps managing external devices of different types supplied by different manufacturers.

SAndroidE is a framework to be included in the Android Project composed by three parts (see the documentation):

  • Library code
  • Hardware description XML files
  • Support Android Activities/Applications
